The environment may not have a voice...

But consumers are starting to stand up for the silent stakeholder.

With the rise of climate and social impact interest, a better understanding of resource limitations, and their own sustainability goals, customers, employees, and communities are seeking more sustainable companies.

Integrating sustainability into your business practices is not just an ethical imperative—it’s a strategic advantage that enhances your profits and your purpose.

Unfortunately, business responsibilities often force sustainability into the background. To truly make an impact, sustainability needs to go beyond another objective on an endless to-do list. You need to elevate your sustainability capability and embed sustainability into every aspect of your organization.

In Finding Sustainability and Profitability for Business, you’ll discover a step-by-step strategy to help you create a basic sustainability plan, optimize business value and profitability, and reimagine the purpose of your organization.

Reviews for Finding Sustainability & Profitability

“The course took a complex and multilayered issue and broke it down into an easy-to-understand and relatable cause for any business in a short seven-module program. The course did an excellent job of helping identify the current sustainable actions our company was participating in and better ways to effectively communicate these actions, along with identifying the initiatives and projects that can help grow our business moving forward.”

“Trent provided a framework to break down the big sustainability elephant into digestible pieces. It allowed us to see where and what activities we already do that would be considered sustainable. It was inspiring to see how these initiatives align with our business objectives and help us to continue to significantly improve the quality of life of others.”

“After multiple training sessions we began to ‘peel back the onion,’ and the group began to look at the ESG subject in a completely new light. There were conversations regarding ESG amongst the group that were never a part of their vocabulary before the training. I believe that the training and ESG process has resulted in our employees realizing how they each and as a whole can have an impact.”

I’m Trent Romer

Sustainability leader and author, here to help you develop a sustainability program that brings authentic action, profitability, and long-term value to your stakeholders.

For over 30 years, I worked in the custom plastic bag manufacturing business as the third-generation co-owner of my family’s business, Clear View Bag Co. I initiated and led the ongoing transition toward profitable sustainability initiatives in every aspect of our business: strategy, operations, and production. After Clear View Bag was sold to a private equity firm in 2021, I’ve continued to serve as the private equity business’s sustainability operating partner, focused on environmental, social, and governance issues within portfolio companies.

Now, I consult with businesses and groups on sustainability issues, materiality, and practices. Organizations have turned to me to engage, evaluate, and execute the first steps of their sustainability journey. I’ve published two books on sustainability and have been a featured speaker at college classrooms, conferences, and even TEDxBoston.

Sustainability is directionally the same for everyone, but the path toward better practices is different for every organization. That’s why I created Finding Sustainability and Profitability for Business—to help you build a foundation of organizational sustainability and increase your profitability with authentic, effective sustainability practices.
